LISTED CRIME: BREAKING THE OATH OF NEUTRALITY

The Council has selected you for sentencing to atone for the above-listed crime. You are directed to turn yourself in within two (2) hours of receiving this message, or you will be forcibly detained. You are to meet the Council's representative outside of City Hall in order to respond to this summons.

[ So, her time has come, huh? That's quite alright, though she would have appreciated a heads-up ─ now she has to close her shop in the middle of the day! But oh well, it's not like she can refuse the Council's call, so she lets out a small sigh and begins preparations to leave as soon as she finishes reading the message and replies with a simple courtesy response. ]

Dear Mr. Jerry,

Thank you for reaching out to me! I will make my way to the City Hall ASAP.

[ And she does exactly that, arriving within the first 40 minutes since the message has been sent; she wouldn't want to keep Jerry waiting, after all. She figures coming in as a magical girl could be mistaken as confrontational, so just in case, she shows up in her civilian clothes. She's nothing if not considerate, you see. ]

[Bless you Mitama. So nice, no unnecessary bravado or sass. Jerry is pleased.. Or at least as pleased as someone like he can be! He's standing there right in front of the City Hall, hands folded behind his back as he waits for her.]

I see you have arrived. Good. Now, after you. [He steps aside, giving her room to enter through the door.]

[ The girl greets Jerry with a smile and a polite bow; she sees absolutely no reason to be disagreeable with him. Besides, even if she wanted to stand up to him, what can she do? "If you can't fight them, join them" has been a philosophy that allowed her to survive this far, so she might as well stick to it. ]

It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Mr. Jerry! Oh, and thank you for agreeing to participate in our Secret Santa event the other month~

[ "Agreeing" might be pushing it, since she never actually asked before getting him involved... but it worked out just fine in the end! So after giving him a small nod, she enters the City Hall without further ado. ]

It was only right to finish the task I was given. [Look! He can play along the rules as long as others are as well. Besides, he got nice socks out of it.

A N Y W A Y:

Once inside they enter to a long hallway that is somehow very unremarkable. There are paintings and other decorations placed against the walls but nothing seems to have any details that are worth of remembering. At the end of the hallway there is a single door, Jerry opens it and lead Mitama inside the meeting room.

Mitama won't remember much after Jerry herds her into the meeting room and closes the door. She may remember feeling judged, and voices from people. She can't remember the faces of. She doesn't remember much, but she does remember the most important part:]

You hide your crime behind a mask of gentility. You are therefore asked to assert your true feelings to others through actions.
